Making money with a website can be very profitable with little investment from yourself. As you can make money from affiliate marketing, blogging, selling products and services and advertising.

Advertising using Google Adsense

Google adsense is the most popular online advertising used.  This type of advertising relies on traffic from the website and the click-through rate (CTR) and also cost per click (CPC). The CTR depends on the set up and design of your website. Where your ads are located, but the CPC works on the topic or subject of your website.

Traffic that is from search engines perform best as these people are searching for something in particular, and these people tend to click on ads. Though social media have low CTRs because these visitors just ignore or don't click on the ads.

CPM Advertising

When using CPM advertising  you get paid for the number of times your page has been viewed (impressions).

CPM rates are different per advertiser, the location of the ad on your website and the design of the website.  The better the network, the higher the CPM rate.   Putting your ad at the top of the page, the bigger the ad, the higher CPM.  Some of the CPM advertising companies are casale media, value click and burst media.

There are a few different options that you should consider.  Do you want to sell banner ads or do you want to stick with text links? Banner ads are the animated banners you see on websites and text links are simply a link from your website to the advertisers website.

Is a very popular way of advertising. As many bloggers are websites are eager to find revenue streams to receive money from your blog or website.  Once your blog or website is established and receiving traffic, you may want to begin researching affiliate programs that could allow your blog to put money in your pocket.

With affliliate marketing you have a company that is willing to let other people its merchandise and services for a commission  This is also called CPA (cost per action) or CPL (cost per lead).

Affiliates can send interested customers to the company using banners to text links and product reviews.

Joining one of these sponsored reviews give you the opportunity to write sponsored posts.
